"Running" by Robert Badinter

  • it is well 10 years since I read this little book ... A little book that I mess with my great indeed! Despite the years, I have not forgotten. It is impossible.
  • Just a burning, cruel screams coming from the "street" of heinous crimes, for that calm, extracts Book me back ...
  • There are so many passages where I cried, because it moved me the guts, I remember it well ...
  • By cons, in a conversation, I can not repeat the words, arguments and above all the intelligence and humanity of Robert Badinter.

  • face of people who claim the death penalty, I understand, over time, I could not talk because I do not argue for counter and then, I am overwhelmed by too much emotion, including anger and then I can do one thing: encourage them to read this captivating book ...

But of course! Imagine you met these people were on the beaches of the Arcachon basin, hosted by their loving parents and loved to Mars live the rest of the year: Boulogne-Sur-Mer! And, yes! You will discover, through the photos, they do not always live in a swimsuit! Little Gauthier can not be tanned! and they do not eat that picnic tables Wood, in a pine forest! In northern France, they welcome you with warmth in a great apartment and doing their absolute excellent typical dishes of the region, beef stewed in beer, among others ...

After all these tanks, we had the privilege to see a show with sea lions These marine mammals are amazing, very agile in water, power on earth and yet so heavy. We were delighted!

To discover Boulogne-sur-mer, our friends took him in the old city, which has preserved its ramparts.

At first ime, it was possible to admire a great exposure in front of City Hall!

The walk on the walls was very pleasant.

Priory Graville

For a sad Wednesday in October, under a rainy sky Le Havre, we had to find an idea to fill 3 poor children .... That's when the Priory Graville emerged as the obvious! The city of Le Havre has a few treasures like this. I suggest a quick visit to this site through some pictures!
(Note that it is the oldest monument in Le Havre!)

Upon our arrival , we were under the spell of this beautiful building: a beautiful wrought iron gate, a paved road along a charming little cemetery, and basically, the museum and the church.

In the gardens of the Priory, beautiful manicured lawns, plants, flowers and a large statue The Black Madonna with her child in her arms! (She is 6 feet tall)

Then we entered the museum to discover the historic places, religious statues, beautiful coins stone, the old wooden stairs ...

then left to climb a wooden staircase to discover with happiness, in the attic a treasure that has delighted children! Jules Gosselin bequeathed to the museum houses 206 plaster, wicker, wood or leather that has made throughout his life! Norman houses, many of the medieval period, but also houses all of France, of all civilizations, on all continents ...

Before entering the church (the Gothic choir), we could admire a beautiful view of the Harbour, estuary of the Seine and and part of the industrial zone ...

A quick tour of the cemetery and then: Go home!
Go ahead, it's worth it and children will be charmed by the small houses ...
