For a sad Wednesday in October, under a rainy sky Le Havre, we had to find an idea to fill 3 poor children .... That's when the Priory Graville emerged as the obvious! The city of Le Havre has a few treasures like this. I suggest a quick visit to this site through some pictures!
(Note that it is the oldest monument in Le Havre!)
Upon our arrival , we were under the spell of this beautiful building: a beautiful wrought iron gate, a paved road along a charming little cemetery, and basically, the museum and the church.
In the gardens of the Priory, beautiful manicured lawns, plants, flowers and a large statue The Black Madonna with her child in her arms! (She is 6 feet tall)
Then we entered the museum to discover the historic places, religious statues, beautiful coins stone, the old wooden stairs ...
then left to climb a wooden staircase to discover with happiness, in the attic a treasure that has delighted children! Jules Gosselin bequeathed to the museum houses 206 plaster, wicker, wood or leather that has made throughout his life! Norman houses, many of the medieval period, but also houses all of France, of all civilizations, on all continents ...
